Shopify Collections

Shopify Collections are the platform's native product grouping feature. Every Shopify store can create two types: Manual Collections (hand-picked products) and Smart Collections (rule-based automatic inclusion). Collections appear as browsable pages on your storefront, typically linked from navigation menus. Each collection has its own URL, title, description, and image, making them valuable for SEO. Shopify supports up to 5,000 collections per store, with up to 5,000 products per collection. Collections power the primary browsing experience for most stores: shoppers navigate from homepage to collection to product to cart. The quality of your collections directly impacts your store's usability, discoverability, and sales performance.
