Product performance metrics are the quantitative measures used to evaluate how effectively individual products drive engagement and revenue. Core metrics include product page views, click-through rate from collections, add-to-cart rate, conversion rate, revenue, units sold, return rate, and profit margin. Together, these metrics reveal which products are stars (high views, high conversion), hidden gems (low views, high conversion), underperformers (high views, low conversion), and dead weight (low views, low conversion). For collection management, product performance metrics are essential decision inputs. Stars should be featured prominently in multiple collections. Hidden gems need more visibility — they convert well but lack traffic, so placing them in high-traffic collections can unlock their potential.
